Description
After a long time coming and many, many revisions for fitment and spacing They are FINALLY ready for release!
This is the FWD Stainless Steel Inspection cover plate that sits between the engine and transmission on the underside of the chassis. The OEM P/N is MD195137.
These have been discontinued from Mitsu for a while, and they either corrode, get bent, get lost or need to be removed to upgrade, such as the flex plate now being thicker in the autos or different bolts being used fouling the OEM plate.
*****Product shown is 90-99 6 bolt-7 Bolt (FWD) (F4A3/F4M3) MD195137. May fit other transmissions but check the P/N and design before ordering!
Our long-term plans are to cater to ALL Major DSM versions going. Inc the 92-99 AWD (W4A3/W4M3) MD191171 — 6 BOLT AWD (MD095656) pre 92 will be looked at later on!
PRODUCT FEATURES… FWD ONLY
- Precision Laser cut.
- Hand bent in-house.
- The Kiggly Racing AUTO Flex plate may give you issues with inspection cover fitment as stated on their website. It mentions that now that it is thicker, the Inspection cover does not fit anymore! So if you cannot run one you risk getting stones or damage inside!
- These FIBA Motorsport versions clear just fine and DO NOT enter the flex plate/flywheel area at all! This means more space inside/behind the cover plate.
- This one is now discontinued by Mitsubishi! Meaning the FWD is not replaceable anymore, and since we know they corrode and get old it is a huge problem! The rest of the covers will follow and ALSO not be discontinued once released! Yet ANOTHER product revised to come back to life for us all in FIBA Motorsport’s OEM+ range.
- Material used is Stainless Steel for a lifetime of use and corrosion resistance! Will handle all weather thrown at it. These will bolt on with OEM or aftermarket bolts you prefer to use.
NOTES…
(These will sit above the transmission side oil pan bolts and will fit bolts only!) If you use studs, you may need to trim around those depending on your stud height to suit.
