2G DSM Lightweight Underdrive Alternator Pulley + GM Alternators

Welcome to the Latest and Greatest 2G DSM release! These are our version of the Underdrive Pulley for the 2G Alternator.

These are a GM Alternator confirmed fitment (some washer spacing may be needed to align the pulley up, depending on the GM Alt used).

• Designed to cut down rotational speed, protecting your alternator from high‑rev damage
• CNC Machined Billet Aluminum
• Laser-engraved/etched
• Black anodized for long-term protection and clean stealth looks
• Only weighs 138 Grams vs (OEM 168 Grams), so bigger and lighter
• Less rotational mass / less strain
• Offers a 30% reduction (based on the stock waterpump pulley size being used)
• The center features six cooling ports to keep heat from getting trapped. Cooler alternator = better performance and longer life.
• Taller side shoulders to help keep the belt from riding off and leaving you belt-less

We have spoken to many people over the years on alternator issues and revs killing them off, and we always wanted to tackle this task at some point in time (and because we don’t wish to kill ours either!).

Fitment details

*** These come as a pulley only. Since different systems and placements are now used more, you will now be required to find the appropriate 4PK belt length suited to your specific setup. ***

As mentioned above, this is designed to protect from the high revs and can have a HUGE impact on the alt rotations. Born for the guys revving high and even more so for those stress-loading their system and more so in continuous high revs!

Notes

Idle charging may have a small effect depending on the exact setup and pulleys being used, but in stock form and calculations won’t be an issue.
