Another impossible-to-find OEM part, brought back to life.

For years, 2G DSM owners have faced the same problem.

The factory drip rail rubber dries out, cracks, flakes away, and exposes the chrome base beneath. Replacement rails have long been discontinued by Mitsubishi, and good used examples are becoming increasingly rare without signs of wear, and they will eventually end up like the bad ones also.

At FIBA Motorsport, we believed there had to be a better solution.

After over a year of development, prototyping and testing, we’re proud to introduce our OEM+ Drip Rail Restoration Kit—designed to restore your original rails while improving upon the original Mitsubishi design.

Designed to Look OEM

Unlike universal rubber trim, our moulded EPDM profile from FIBA Motorsport has been manufactured to replicate the original formed metal shape.

Every lip, contour and edge has been reproduced to give an authentic OEM appearance once installed.

The result?

A restoration that looks factory fitted while providing the durability expected from a modern material.

Improved Where It Matters

The original Mitsubishi rubber measured approximately 0.3mm thick through the centre section.

Over time this extremely thin material dries out, cracks and flakes away, exposing the chrome base underneath.

We’ve increased this thickness to 1.0mm, creating over three times the material in the highest wear area while maintaining the original appearance.

Manufactured from modern EPDM rubber, the new moulding offers excellent resistance to:

• UV and sunlight
• Heat and temperature cycling
• Weathering
• Water
• Automotive chemicals

The result is a longer-lasting restoration built for decades rather than years.

DIY Installation

This kit has been designed for enthusiasts restoring their own rails.

Preparation is everything.

Take your time and the results will speak for themselves.

Average installation times:

• Coupe: Approximately 2 hours per side
• Spyder: Approximately 1.25 hours per side

If your inner drain channel coating requires refinishing, allow additional preparation and curing time before fitting the new rubber.

Also Available…

For customers who would rather avoid restoring their own rails, we occasionally offer fully refurbished OEM drip rails on an exchange or outright basis.

Each unit is stripped, restored and fitted with our new OEM+ moulding before being ready to install.

Because good original cores are becoming increasingly difficult to source, availability is extremely limited.

Why are refurbished rails costly?

Every set starts with genuine OEM rails that are now shipped to us and increasingly difficult to find in decent condition, That means no dinks or bent rails!

Each rail is completely stripped, restored by hand, refinished, fitted with our new moulding and inspected before sale. The price reflects not only the restoration work involved but also the rarity of obtaining straight, undamaged OEM cores.

Limited Availability

Pre-restored OEM drip rails are available in very limited numbers for both Coupe and Spyder models.

Because original Mitsubishi rails are now discontinued, availability depends entirely on sourcing suitable good OEM cores.
